Spyro Enter The Dragonfly review REVISED. Ps2

Hey look im looking at Spyro Enter The Dragonfly again. Whys that you may ask. Well, the old review didn't cover my thoughts on the entire game. Only the first two levels. Now I finally completed it 100%  And now Im going to share my full thoughts on this game. So lets start again with....



STORY

So the little dragons are getting their dragonfly's until Ripto shows up. A mistake in my old review was I thought that he died in Spyro 2. But in an epilogue in Spyro 3, Ripto and Gnasty Gnorc are talking about the Spyro problem. So he's back. He asks Spyro to join him politely, but Spyro ain't gonna take crud from Ripto so he says no. So Ripto scatters the dragonfly's all across the dragon realms, including Sparks. Bianca happens to know where he is so Spark's is not lost, and they set out to find the lost dragonfly's, and beat Ripto once and for all.(spoiler alert). You need 100% to get the ending, so no spoiler really.

GAMEPLAY

There are 9 levels. That sounds very short. But thank goodness the levels are long. There are 10 dragonfly's per level, And 800, or 900 gems per level. Now that’s a lot of stuff per level. So now you will most likely be having trouble finding that one gem. ESPECIALLY IN CLOUD 9. Spyro controls quite nicely but you need to get a little used to the control. Now lets go in depth with the levels now shall we.

DRAGONFLY DOJO

It's the first level. And Moneybags is in it. HOORAY. BUT, this is the only time he appears sooo.... HOORAY!!!!!!. Theres a speedway, and tank mission, and their pretty good. But does every Spyro game need a tank.

THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE...ER I MEAN CROP CIRCLE COUNTRY

Replace Spyro with Courage and you get a Courage the cowardly dog episode. No seriously it's just like that. Also you get to find space cows in a UFO. And it's kinda boring. Dang gold UFOS. And a puzzle where you must electrify all the poles with your electric breath. I forgot to mention you get new breaths in this game, that for some reason you must get again in a heroes tail. Except bubble breath. There bubble breath to catch dragonfly's, lightning breath to electrify poles, and ice breath to freeze things, and sometimes put out fires. That's all I have to say about this level soooo.......

LUAU ISLAND

We get to go to hawaii and it's a blast. These swimming controls work great. And you get to catch baby Mantarays with Hunter. And of course we have to race. And Hunter must be really confused because he stinks at the minigame.


CLOUD 9

This level is so laggy. The gems are annoying when you have so little left, and the minigames stink, (except the speedway). Get it away from me.

MONKEY MONASTERY

This game actually IMPROVED the skating controls. Spyro can jump while ice skating now. And Bartholemew's back. And sadly has a bad slide section. But still is a good level. And has a hillariously easy plane section. That was in Cloud 9 but that one stunk like rotten eggs.


HONEY MARSH

WHY MUST THERE ALWAYS BE A BAD TANK SECTION IN A SPYRO GAME. Ugh the tank is a nightmare in the section. But has a very fun slide to sorta make up for it. Pretty good level in my opinion.

THIEVES DEN
….......................................
Weir helping the thieves. Pretty good level. But the speedway race was HaAaAaARrRrDdDd. Until I found a hidden star booster. And the puzzle was pretty nice. Good level in my opinion.


JURASSIC JUNGLE

These platforms are hard to time in this level. But doe's have an awesome slide in the section. But Bad climbing section in another section. OK level....I guess.

RIPTO 1

This ending stinks and the boss was too easy.

THE END

No not really. Theirs actually another final boss.

RIPTO 2
…...............................................
You first use you breath to hit his shield, and HOCUS POCUS. Giant Ripto, with a luck based battle. I had to look up a guide for this and apparently you have to hit his staff with lightning breath, but only when his staff gets stuck to the ground, and turns white. And you did it. The endings kinda disappointing. It's not as satisfying as the endings in the classic Spyro games.

Now its time to come up with a new rating system

I liked this game unlike the 2,000,000 people who hated it. So my next review is going to be....
